The very first thing that will catch your sight about the Realme C51 is its outlook. Its dual tone back panel with the darker shade top and lighter shade bottom with matt finish looks unique and lovely. The rear camera setup and the U-notch brings an umami feeling to it. It’s simple, but mastering the simplicity is an art and Realme has done it fairly well in this case. That being said, the body is still made of full-on plastic without any dust or splash resistance and the screen has no protection, which significantly reduces its value for money.
It has an HD+ screen with 560 nits of relatively lower brightness. But 6.74” is a generous measurement and there is a 90Hz refresh rate which we appreciate. The 50MP main rear camera works well with decent details and vibrant colors in proper lighting conditions. A 5 MP selfie camera may sound low, but Realme did good optimization to push its quality. Subject skin tone, light, color balance looked appropriate in the photo samples that we observed. However, there is just 720p HD recording with the frontal camera.
